Village Hall closed for Thanksgiving Holiday

The Village Hall will be closed Thursday Nov. 28th and Friday Nov. 29th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The office will reopen Monday, Dec 02nd for regular business hours.
There will be a trash delay. Resident's trash will be picked up on Saturday Nov. 30th. Please have polycarts curbside by 5am.
Trash Delay for week of Thanksgiving

Trash pickup will be delayed by one day the week of the Thanksgiving holiday. Trash pickup for residents will be Saturday November 30th instead of Friday. Please have your trash cans out before 5am Saturday morning.

Just a friendly reminder - Village of Wayne City Board Meetings are held monthly. Our next meeting will be on Monday. Dec 2nd at 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in knowing what was discussed in previous board meetings or what is on the agenda, please look under the Agendas and Minutes tab. Minutes from previous meetings will be posted as they are approved.
8th Annual Wayne City Hometown Lighted Christmas Parade

The 8th Annual Wayne City Hometown Lighted Christmas Parade will be December 14th starting at 7pm. Come on out with your family to this festive event and enjoy all sorts of fun activities up and down Main Street & various activities in the Community Building starting at 5pm. There will be a petting zoo, free horse and wagon rides, FCCLA will be cookie decorating with kids, free hot chocolate & cookies for all provided by Church of the Harvest, There will be free hot dogs, chips, and drinks for kids, giveaways, pictures with Santa & and much more. Contact Jennifer Ehrhart at 618/214-8294 or Chris Robertson at 618/516-2387 for parade inquiries. Deadline to enter is Dec. 6th. The parade grand marshals this year will be Gary and Rota Harrell.
