Village Clerk

The Village Clerk must maintain custody of the village corporate seal, books, records, and papers of the Village and all the offical reports and comminications of the Board of Trustees. The clerk is the keeper of all ordinances and resolutions of the Village. The clerk is also the Drug Testing Coordinator for the Gas Department, the Payroll Clerk for the Village and the Library, the Authorized Agent for IMRF, and the Risk Management Coordinator. The clerk also maintains accurate records for all income and receipts and prepares bank deposits. The clerk works with auditors for fiscal year-end closing of the books, gathers information and prepares data and reports. 

The Village of Wayne City's clerk is Staci Choate and she has been at the Village since 2013.
