Child Find/Preschool Screening

The Wayne City School Unit #100 is conducting Child Find/Preschool Screening for Birth to 5 year old children not yet enrolled in public schools and who are not kingergarten eligible for the 2025-2026 school year. The screening checks each child's progress in hearing, vision, speech, language, and coordination skills. This will give parents a better idea of how their child is progressing at this very young age before he/she begins school. This screening program is free and parents will receive immediate feedback on how their child is developing. Pre-K personnel will aslo be present to explain their program and other services available in the area. Screenings will be held at the Wayne City Baptist Church on April 25 from 8:30-2:30.  The screening procedure takes about 45 minutes, and approintments must be made.  This service is a FREE check of your child's progess in the developmental areas, and you dont have to live in the Wayne City school district.  Children that are screening before they are 3 will be screened by Early Intervention and will not be eligible for Pre-K till they are 3. Wayne City Scholarship Foundation Fundraiser

The annual Wayne City Scholarship Foundation fundraiser is coming up! It will be held on April 27th at the WC  Community Building.  Students are selling raffle tickets so if you'd like to buy tickets, please ask a high school student. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.  Prizes are $500 cash or gun (foid card required).  There will be a live auction at 12:30. Dinner is by donation.  Come out and support this great cause.

Spring TownWide Rummage Sales

The Village of Wayne City has scheduled the Spring Townwide Rummage Sales for Friday and Saturday, May 2nd and 3rd.  Call the Village Hall by Tuesday April 29th at 895-2241 if you want your name to be put on the sales list & map. These will be available at the Village Hall and at local businesses on Wed April 30th.

Townwide clean up will be the following Wednesday May 7th.

May 5th at 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in knowing what was discussed in previous board meetings or what is on the agenda, please look under the Agendas and Minutes tab.  Minutes from previous meetings will be posted as they are approved. 

Village of Wayne City Townwide Clean Up Day

Wayne City Townwide Clean up will be Wed, May 7th.  A list of items that can and cannot be picked up are available at Village Hall.

All items must be curbside.

Wayne City Matters Teen Night

Ends: 5/10/2025 - 7:00 pm

Wayne City Matters will once again host a Teen Night for high school and college kids, Saturday, May 10th..  Meet at the WC Baptist Church at 5:30pm to sign up. From 5:30-7pm the kids will go to different locations through out town and play games to earn tickets.  From 7-9pm, they will meet at the Baptist Church for food and drinks and enter your tickets into the drawing for prizes. Over $2,000 in prizes will be given away!
