PRE-FILING NOTICE

Begins: 8/22/2024
Ends: 11/18/2024

Notice is hereby given that the office of Staci Choate, Village Clerk, will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays, beginning Aug 20, 2024 through Dec 18, 2024 for the purpose of issuing petition packets for the Consolidated Election to be held on April 1, 2025, for the following offices.

Village President-4 year term, Village Clerk-4 year term, Village Trustee-4 year term (3), Library Trustee- 6 year term (3).

The filing period for the above completed petitions and forms will be Nov 12-15, 2024, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (occasionally closing during lunch hour) except the last day to file Nov 18, 2024 the office will be open until 5:00 p.m., in the Wayne City Village Hall, 102 S Main Street, Wayne City, IL 62895.

 

WAYNE CITY MATTERS FALL CARNIVAL

Begins: 10/27/2024 - 4:00 PM
Ends: 10/27/2024 - 7:00 PM

Wayne City Matters Fall Carnival will be Oct 27th, 4pm to 7pm. Bring your little ghosts and goblins out for a fun evening at the Baptist Church parking lot in Wayne City.  Costume judging will be 5-6pm for all ages with cash prizes & trophies for winners in each category.  There will be food & drinks for purchase.  There will be fun activities, games, prizes, and Church of the Harvest will be hosting the cake walk from 4-5pm at the parking lot.  Also Trunk Or Treat will be at the Wayne City School Parking lot from 6-7pm. TRICK OR TREAT NIGHT

Begins: 10/31/2024 - 5:00 PM
Ends: 10/31/2024 - 8:00 PM

Trick or Treat night has been set for Thursday, Oct 31st from 5-8pm for the Village of Wayne City.  Please leave your porch light on if you are handing out candy.

Village Board Meeting Reminder

Ends: 11/4/2024 - When all business is completed

Just a friendly reminder - Village of Wayne City Board Meetings are held monthly. Our next meeting will be on Monday. Nov 4th at 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in knowing what was discussed in previous board meetings or what is on the agenda, please look under the Agendas and Minutes tab.  Minutes from previous meetings will be posted as they are approved.
