Trick or Treat night has been set for Friday, Oct 31st from 5-8pm for the Village of Wayne City. Please leave your porch light on if you are handing out candy.
Village Board Meeting Reminder

Just a friendly reminder - Village of Wayne City Board Meetings are held monthly. Our next meeting will be on Monday, Nov 3rd at 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in knowing what was discussed in previous board meetings or what is on the agenda, please look under the Agendas and Minutes tab. Minutes from previous meetings will be posted as they are approved.
Village Hall closed for Veteran's Day

The Village Hall will be closed Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veteran's Day. We will reopen Wed. the 12th for normal business hours. Please thank a veteran for their service!
JT'S Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Jt"s in Wayne City will once again be offering a Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner, Nov 27th from 11am to 1pm by donation. These generous donations will be used to help with holiday needs for area families. For more info, to request a delivery, or make a reservation please call 618-895-1329. Jt's is located at 302 Orchard St. Anyone wishing to donate a dessert, to help serve, help with delivery, or clean up call 895-1329.
Village Hall Closed for Thanksgiving

The Village Hall is be closed Thurs. Nov. 27th and 28th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The office will reopen the following Monday Dec. 1st for regular business hours.
Trash Delay for week of Thanksgiving
Begins: 11/28/2025
Ends: 11/29/2025
Normal trash pickup for Thursday Nov 27th and Friday Nov 28th will be delayed by one day due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Trash pickup for residents will be Saturday November 30th and you will need to have your trash cans curbside before 5am Saturday morning Nov 29th.
Village Hall closed for Christmas and New Year's

Ends: 1/1/2026
The Village Hall will be closed Tues. Dec. 24th and Wed. Dec. 25th in observance of the Christmas holiday. The office will also be closed at 12 noon Dec. 31st and Jan. 1st for New Year's.
There will be a trash delay. Resident's trash will be picked up on Saturday Dec. 28th. Please have polycarts curbside by 5am
