The Village of Wayne City will be accepting applications for a full-time General Utility Worker and Water Treatment Plant Operator to assist with the daily operation and maintenance of the Village's water, wastewater, and gas systems. Minimum requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, strong computer skills, ability to work rotating weekends, holidays, overtime, and to respond to an emergency call out within 30 minutes. Must be willing to obtain an Illinois Class "A" water operator certificate, an Illinois Class "4" wastewater operator certificate, and must obtain a gas certification. Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications. Benefits package includes health insurance, life insurance, dental/vision insurance, vacation/sick/personal leave and participation in IMRF pension.
